About Us

Kākou Behavioral Therapy (KBT) is a dedicated team of local Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) with experience across diverse care settings, supporting children aged 2 to 18. Our practice is built on the lessons, joys, and frustrations we've encountered throughout our careers in the ABA field.

GRPAHIC

We’ve witnessed the challenges families face when schools deny placements due to anticipated behavioral concerns and limited resources. We've seen families struggle to coordinate providers during transitions from in-home or clinic-based care. We’ve also observed the harm caused by behavior analysts who push for intensive services long after they are necessary.

At KBT, we don’t claim to have all the answers. Instead, we embrace collaboration—working alongside families, providers, and educators to craft solutions that align with both the child’s and parents’ goals. Our mission is to foster meaningful progress through a collective, 'kākou' effort.
